As of January 17, 2002, the bridge is nearly complete. The original supplier for the bridge railings went out of business last year. A new supplier was contacted and his shop drawings were approved on May 7, 2001. The majority of the pieces were placed last fall. A number of pieces had to be special ordered once the bulk of the railing was in place. These items are on back order waiting to be assembled. All material has been cut and anodized and is now being assembled and welded. Several units have been shipped and they anticipate that the balance should be shipped by January 28, 2002. These are the last items required for physical completion of the bridge.

  • Construction Cost $$5,400,000 (est)
